Yolanda Fernández-Pena’s research monograph on verb number agreement has been distinguished with ESSE Book Award 2022

At the ESSE Book Awards Ceremony, held at the University of Mainz on 29 August 2022, Yolanda Fernández-Pena, a member of the LVTC group, received the prestigious ESSE Book Award (€1,500), in the category English Language and Linguistics, for her monograph Reconciling Synchrony, Diachrony and Usage in Verb Number Agreement with Complex Collective Subjects (Routledge, 2020).

This award follows previous research distinctions granted by AEDEAN (November 2021) and AESLA (April 2022).
