Four new competitive grants awarded to state projects led by ELC members

 

The Spanish State Research Agency (AEI) announced last week that the following research projects led by members of ELC have been awarded competitive funding for the period 01/09/2021 – 31/08/2024:

Grant PID2020-114604GB-100. Programa Estatal de Generación de Conocimiento y Fortalecimiento Científico y Tecnológico del Sistema de I+D+i y de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad.
Project title: Constructionalization in written and oral discourse: Evidence from historical and contemporary English(es).
PIs: María José López-Couso and Belén Méndez-Naya, University of Santiago de Compostela.

Grant PID2020-117541GB-100. Programa Estatal de Generación de Conocimiento y Fortalecimiento Científico y Tecnológico del Sistema de I+D+i y de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad.
Project title: Fragments: constructionalising non-canonical expressions in written English.
PI: Javier Pérez Guerra, University of Vigo.

Grant PID2020-118143GA-I00. Programa Estatal de Generación de Conocimiento y Fortalecimiento Científico y Tecnológico del Sistema de I+D+i y de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad.
Project title: Cognitive representation of multi-word sequences and reduced variants in L1 and L2 users of English: converging evidence.
PI:
David Tizón Couto, University of Vigo.

Grant PID2020-117030GB-100. Programa Estatal de Generación de Conocimiento y Fortalecimiento Científico y Tecnológico del Sistema de I+D+i y de I+D+i Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad.
Project title: Morphosyntactic variation in International Englishes and elaboration of resources for its study (International Corpus of English – Gibraltar).
PIs: Cristina Suárez-Gómez and Lucía Loureiro-Porto, University of the Balearic Islands.
